My name is Emilie, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with Heart & Mind Therapy. My interest in psychotherapy grew through supporting people close to me and through my own experiences with mental health. I know that it can be difficult to make sense of what we are feeling and of the experiences we move through in life.

When life feels overwhelming or uncertain, it can be helpful to have someone come alongside you and create space to slow things down, understand what is happening and reconnect with what matters most.

"We cannot do everything, and there is a sense of liberation in realizing that."

Saint Oscar Romero

This idea reflects how I approach therapy. We do not need to solve everything at once. Therapy can become a place to identify what needs attention now, understand the patterns influencing you and begin taking meaningful steps forward.

My goal is to offer a warm and non-judgmental space where you feel supported in your goals and better equipped to understand yourself, respond to challenges and move through life with greater confidence.

Therapy can offer a place to explore what is happening beneath the surface while also identifying practical ways to respond differently.

I believe it is important to understand the whole person. Emotional, relational, physical, mental and spiritual experiences can influence one another, and therapy can create room to explore the parts that are meaningful to you.

It would be a privilege to walk alongside you wherever you are in your story. We can begin with what feels most important right now and work from there.

Professional Background

Supporting the whole person, not just the presenting concern.

Emilie's training in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy informs an approach that can consider emotional, mental, relational, physical and spiritual aspects of a client's experience.

My training in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy has prepared me to walk alongside clients while considering the different parts of who they are, including mental, emotional, physical, relational and spiritual experiences.

I have experience supporting people with anxiety, social anxiety, stress management, life transitions, self-esteem, healthy relationships, habit change and spiritual exploration.

My aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of what is happening while also identifying ways to respond that fit your goals, values and circumstances.

I believe therapy works best when you feel respected, understood and involved in the process. Rather than assuming one approach will work for everyone, we can explore what is most useful for you and adjust the work as therapy develops.
